H. P. Lovecraft and Fernando Pessoa were among the most influential writers of the first half of the 20th century. They didn’t know each other, despite having
lived at the same time, but there is an enormous complementarity between their lives and works. »Telepathic Letters«’ is a film, whose images were
created exclusively through AI, in which a dialogue is established between their letters and essays, poems and fiction, an imaginary correspondence between
the two authors made from their texts, creating a new universe of art and literary possibilities and fusing Pessoa’s Sensationism with Lovecraft’s Strange
Realism. Edgar Pêra returns to Pessoa in this prequel to »The Nothingness Club – Não Sou Nada« with the pioneering use of AI tools in Portuguese cinema.
