Three friends, one day, countless emotions. Between frustration and longing, »Harakiri, I Miss You« explores the raw truth of misunderstood masculinity, intimacy, and friendship. Samuel, Alejandro, and Diego drift through their days in Madrid, clinging to intoxicating macho energy and empty rituals to mask their quiet, shared despair. When their attention shifts to their beautiful and enigmatic neighbor Magdalena, they spiral into obsession. They devise a plan to »accidentally« cross her path: lingering near her building, timing their outings to hers, shadowing her movements in hope of a fleeting spark of connection. Each one believes he will be the one she notices. Teetering on the edge of cinéma vérité, Alejandro Castro Arias’ directorial debut unfolds as a tender yet unflinching meditation on three tragic heroes who have lost all social competence.
