In their directorial debut, actresses Martina Schöne-Radunski and Lana Cooper
get to the bottom of the rise of radicalism. Konnie, a Nazi rock musician who
belongs to a fascist underground scene in Berlin, is losing popularity among
like-minded people. Ever since she started incorporating gender-, sex- and
body-friendly messages into her music and publicly defending her ultra-feminist
views, her comrades have turned against her. The Nazi pub owner and group
leader Andi in particular wants to teach her a lesson she won‘t forget. In a won-
derful scene, she meets Valter in a stuck elevator, whose anarchist ideas about
the fight against the right even annoy his left-wing alternative buddies. A magne-
tic energy arises between the two, which they can only reluctantly understand as
an attraction. A bold and cheeky mixture of genres that delves deep into a Berlin
where the social center seems light years away. Genuine Berlin underground
cinema, so raw and so lovingly told that you long for a Romeo and Juliet romance
between Konnie and the left-wing tick Valter.
