Oldenburg presents Kristen Stewart’s directorial debut »The Chronology of Water« as the Closing Night Gala film, with final highlights announced
Following its World Premiere in Cannes, the directorial debut of Kristen Stewart »The Chronology of Water« will be presented as the Closing Night Gala film at the 32nd Edition of the Oldenburg International Film Festival. "We are excited to give her bold and auspicious directorial debut a special platform as I believe Kristen has proven to be a new and visionary voice in cinema", says Festival Director, Torsten Neumann. The film will get a theatrical release by the boutique distribution Eksystent Film Distribution in Germany during Awards Season.
Other debut features and World Premieres include Annapurna Sriram’s festival darling of the year »Fucktoys«, Slamdance Audience Award winner »Under the Burning Sun« by Yun Xie, and Germán Tejada’s adaptation of Oswaldo Reynoso's 1961 coming-of-age classic »Los Inocentes«. Within the Festival Gala on September 12, Stella Marie Markert’s debut film »Thanks for Nothing« will be presented.
