Okuda in Oldenburg
On the occasion of the world premiere of Michael Maxxis' film »Puppy Love« on September 16, the Oldenburg International Film Festival will welcome spectacular visitors from the art scene in Oldenburg. In addition to the guests of the opening film, world-renowned street artist Okuda San Miguel will decorate a 7-storey wall (Am Stadtmuseum 17) with a large-format motif from the artwork of »Puppy Love« just in time for the opening of the festival, thus enriching the city with a spectacular sight.
Okuda is a true star of the international street art scene as well as a personal friend of director Michael Maxxis and was also responsible for the artwork of his directing debut. Okuda's monumental murals have already brought a new tourist attractions to numerous cities around the world. The Oldenburg mural will not only be an outstanding visual highlight in urban space, but also a symbol of the close connection between the city and the film festival, visible from afar.
